MARGOT FLORENCE FOUNDATION
The aims of the foundation are to provide empowering arts based experiences for, by and with children with complex disabilities. The strategy includes the provision of:
Support for artists already engaging in this area
Development and training for those who would like to engage
Models of best practice, through the facilitation of visits from artists and companies already engaging in this area both within the UK and internationally
The ambition is simple: to make the Folkestone, Ashford, Canterbury area (Margot’s birthplace and home) a beacon of excellence in disability and inclusive arts, offering all children the dignity and joy that engagement in the arts can provide for them and their families.
How To Apply For Funding
The Margot Florence Foundation accepts funding applications throughout the year.
Funded activity must speak to the core strategic aims of the company and be of benefit to children or young people with complex disabilities in the Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone area.
Activity must be completed within a year of receipt of funding.

Who Can Apply
The foundation will accept applications from individual artists and organisations from a range of disciplines including theatre, dance, visual arts, music and interdisciplinary practice. We would also encourage applications from educators, therapeutic practitioners and carers interested in using arts practices in their work.
Evaluation And Impact
Each funded project will need to demonstrate an ability to evaluate impact and to respond to the core aims of the foundation.
